Lakota Longwalker is a Native American Folk/Rock musician, Rock/Metal guitarist, Stone Sculptor, Native flute/instrument maker, beadwork artisan and teacher. His background is in composing, producing and performing original and traditional music.

Longwalker revived lost methods of  stone flute construction that originated with the Inca and Lakota. He produces, composes, arranges, markets and distributes original and traditional Native Folk music that has garnered 2 nominations for the Native American Music awards as an independent, solo artist, with both his debut album ‘Thunder in the Canyon’, and second solo album ‘The New Tradition’.

Through stone and wood sculpture Longwalker's main focus is upon recreating scenes of nature with animals in various poses and settings.

2014- 2019

Longwalker suffered a neuro-muscular injury that led to partial paralysis and required five  years of occupational therapy leading to full recovery. 


2009-2013

Member of Thrash Metal band ‘Krass Judgement’ as rhythm guitarist/co-songwriter.

The band became popular and opened for 'Slayer’ on the east coast leg of their five week US tour.

Longwalker’s craftwork consists mostly of easily reproducible items that can be produced in volume. Dreamcatchers, necklaces, bracelets, chokers and earrings are sold mostly wholesale in large volume  to craftshops, galleries and cultural museums but also direct retail to individuals.
